Fair immigration

Some thoughts about fair immigration. I urge readers to comment by sponsoring or writing letters to their editors to express conservative ideas. The following are some thoughts which might be rejected but they are mine. What are yours?

What should we advocate for a just immigration system? Possibilities include: Sponsorship, Open immigration registration, Adoption of the American culture, Speaking our language. This is a partial set of rules for immigrants to become citizens.

  • Sponsorship could be defined as any citizen of ten or more years taking an oath that the immigrant is known to them and is a person who truly desires citizenship.
  • Immigration registration would require an immigrant notifies our federal government that they are here in the United States, and intends to become a citizen.
  • Notification of the government would require an immigrant to re-register their name, address, telephone number, or other means of communication annually.
  • Adopting our culture would require immigrants not to advocate laws or rules based upon their culture where they conflict with the lives of American citizens (such as the banning of foods, etc.)
  • Becoming a citizen would behoove candidates to read and speak our language so that they can understand our laws and voting system.
